What does export child benefit entail for Delft?

Export child benefit allows you to receive benefit from the Netherlands, even without a place of residence in the Netherlands. This is important for:

  • Parents from the Delft region who work abroad, with children with ex-partner in the Netherlands.
  • Cases where foreign benefit is below Dutch level.

Conditions for export child benefit

Essential requirements:

1. Nationality and residence

  • Dutch national.
  • Centre of vital interests abroad (work, family).
No export if centre is in Delft/Netherlands.

2. Child in the Netherlands

Children must:

  • Have habitual residence in the Netherlands (e.g. registered in Delft via BSN).
  • Have no or lower benefit abroad.

3. Prevention of double payment

No double claim; EU rules designate the benefit-paying country. SVB checks.

Equal to Dutch standard, depending on:

  • Age.
  • Disability or extra benefit.
